Pamala M. Shaughnessey-Banks,
President, Funeral Director
A licensed funeral director since 1978, Pam is now the President of the family business. Pam believes in letting each family do things their way without judgment to create a tribute to the person's life that leaves a lasting impression. She always makes sure to educate each family about their options, provides comfort during the funeral service and gently guides each family through the whole funeral process. Pam is Past President of the Connecticut Funeral Director's Association and is the Coordinator for the past seven years of THEOS, a national widowed support group. She is an expert at speaking about funeral issues in the community and has long established relationships with Hospice, MADD and the Center for Hope to insure that those who lose a loved one receive grief support. She also writes a monthly column on various aspects of the funeral industry. Pam attended Boston College and received her B.A. from Fairfield University. She is a member of Brooklawn Country Club, the Gaelic-American Club, the Ukrainian Club and a member of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce. Pam supports the Kennedy Center, Operation Hope, the YMCA, Merton House and the Fairfield Little League. She lives in Fairfield with her husband, Sam Banks.

Sheryl A. Shaughnessey, Esq.
Funeral Director
A licensed funeral director since 1976, Sheryl works part-time in the family business. She is a tireless promoter of getting your affairs in order and handles many prearrangement planning issues with clients. She received her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and her law degree from the Bridgeport School of Law. She has been in private practice for over twenty-five years. Sheryl is past President of the Bridgeport Bar Association and past President of the Fairfield Rotary Club. She is on the Executive Board of Holy Family Church and the Inner City Foundation as well as continues to be active in Fairfield Rotary. She lives in Fairfield.

Rebecca C. Lautenslager
Funeral Director
Becky is a licensed funeral director and embalmer. She received her Bachelor's Degree in the Allied Health field, and graduated with magna cum laude honors from the University of Dayton in 2000. Following her undergraduate courses, Becky attended the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, where she received her Associate's Degree in Mortuary Science. She was the recipient of the prestigious Nunnamaker Award, which is given to the student with the highest scholastic achievement. Becky completed her one year apprenticeship in Dayton, Ohio at Tobias Funeral Home, then accepted a job at one of the nation's largest and oldest family owned funeral firms; Schoedinger Funeral Service in Columbus, Ohio. Following her desire to be on the east coast, near her siblings, Becky moved to Fairfield in December of 2005 to join our team. She is a member of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce and the Fairfield Kiwanis Club. She also volunteers her free time for the Fairfield National Little League as a coach. Becky lives in Fairfield with her partner Chelsea.

Terese A. Travis-Horvath
Administrative Assistant
Terese joined our staff in 1994 after the death of her father realizing that offering support to grieving families was her passion. Her daily responsibilities at the funeral home include all administrative duties such as assisting families with insurance settlements and veteran's benefits. She implemented an annual "Holiday Remembrance Program" each December at the funeral home to allow families to come together during this difficult time and honor the memory of their loved one. Each year she attends the National Funeral Director Association's "Professional Women in Funeral Service Conference" where she brings new and innovative ideas back to the funeral home to better assist in serving our grieving families. Terese grew up in Fairfield and graduated from Assumption School, Notre Dame Girls High School and Sacred Heart University. She resides in Fairfield with her husband, Robert Horvath and her three sons, Christopher, Daniel and Kyle Travis. She is a member of the Gaelic American Club, Fayerweather Yacht Club, Our Lady of the Assumption Church and the Eastern CT State University Parents Association.
